Nice colours; I like the smooth transitioning. Yeah, the words do detract a bit--it's mainly because the shape doesn't really fit the background.

I agree that I would like it without the text, and I think if the preview image showed it split up as it was meant to be seen, I would be enthralled. Your matching of warm and cool to complementary colours would be very cool across two screens... I definitely think I would like it much more if I had the two monitors to see it as you intended it. Brava on your composition and simplicity. ^_^

I like it alot, but I don't believe the word should have been centered and i just don't like the sense of font like that...eh maybe more off little to the side would or in a corner would give it a more relaxed feeling... not bad criticism, productive..that's how pple learn..neways, my opinion .. ;)
